As the portfolio is growing steadily, as is the turnover (from € 120 mio to € 250 mio), the client is looking for a Purchasing Manager.

 

Tasks
As Purchasing Manager you are part of the Supply Chain management team of the Services Division, reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. You will lead a team of 5 operational buyers and 1 tactical buyer.
In addition to your management tasks, you personally fulfill the role of tactical buyer, being the liaison between the Services cluster and the categories responsible for the group wide supply chain strategy for their category.
You are responsible for On Spec, In Time, In Full deliveries of all purchases servicing the various product groups within the company. You will be purchasing products & services concerning hardware in the aftermarket and service orders, as well as all purchasing activities that support the project buyers in the renovation projects, with an annual spend of around € 50 mio.
You will work under the Group’s framework of the Category Management and specifications of Product Management when exploring the supplier market for new products, capabilities and delivery reliability. You will manage supply chain partners and push for the continuous improvement of their performance (price, quality and delivery reliability). You will select and monitor suppliers, as well as negotiate contracts.

 

Your profile

  • a bachelor’s degree in a technical commercial area (preferably supplemented by Nevi 1 and 2)
  • at least 5 years of experience in an equivalent type of assignment
  • profound knowledge of business process management
  • knowledge of international trading practices is an advantage
  • commercial know-how and excellent negotiating skills
  • a self-starter, with a hands-on mentality and a service-oriented approach
  • team player, people manager, with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • excellent command of English
