Sr. Contracts Engineer Offshore Projects

Global operating family owned company active in the maritime and offshore construction. Owner of 10 vessels and employs 2500 people worldwide. Famous for its innovation and massive offshore projects.

PROCUREMENT DEPARTMENT

You’ll be reporting directly to the Head of Project Contracting and Procurement, depending on the project, you may also need to report to an internal client like a Proposal or Project Manager. The rest of the team consists of 3 buyers and 6 tender/contract engineers.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Tender/Contracts Engineer, it is your responsibility to ensure that subcontractors are adhering to our clients’ standards and subcontracting procedures. The majority of your work (80%) will be pre–award, while the remainder is post–award. The scope of the projects (dredging, pipelaying, deep sea mining, or decommissioning) are largely determined by the end–client, so you will guide the team through the tender process. This role is focused on capital and operating expenses and contracts can range from 1 million to 15 million. Winning the project is not all about the price, but rather about careful planning and technical details.

You must have an in-depth understanding of legal contracts, be attentive to detail, and know when to stop researching and finalize the contract.. Additionally, you must have the commercial acumen to identify opportunities.

Your main stakeholders will be Project Managers, Technical Superintendents, Engineering, Construction managers and off course your suppliers, vendors and clients.

• Salary up to €80.000 gross per year depending on knowledge and experience
