Principal
Globally active chemical company with 12.000 employees, with its headquarter in Israel, producing fertilizers, food- and industrial chemicals and mining inorganic chemicals. The European headquarter is based in Amsterdam and has some 200 employees from more than 25 nationalities. It is also an important hub for the Global Procurement Organization, with appr. 60 procurement professionals.
Tasks
You report into the Head of global procurement for Indirect spend. His team consists of global category managers, Global category buyers and operational buyers, partly in Amsterdam and partly in Israel. In this role you will focus on the procurement of IT, hardware, bespoke software, licences and services and cyber security. Your spend is appr. € 65 mio. You will closely work together with your colleague the Global category manager. Your main stakeholders are the IT department’s management, incl. the CIO.
Within this organization no expenditures are possible without the consent and involvement of procurement. You will be expected to be able to ‘manage’ the IT department, making sure that IT synergy is created, make global deals by leading tender processes and be the ultimately responsible person for supplier performance. Your counterparts are suppliers like HP, SAP and Salesforce. The environment in which you come to work can be characterized as international, ad hoc, creative and sometimes directive.
As the basis for your job you are expected to make a thorough analysis of your category, both internal (finance data, contracts, strategies, subjective information, etc.) and external (a.o. marketdata) and develop a category strategy for the region, resulting in a rolling yearly action plan.

You can expect to travel appr. 10% of your time.
Your profile
Offer
A max. gross salary in the position of appr. € 75.000, starting salary depending on your experience and knowledge, plus a short term incentive bonus of max. 7,5%.
26 Vacation days. For your pension you will be required to contribute appr. 3% of your salary.
