You report into the “Team lead Offshore Energy”, who leads his team that further consists of 2 operational buyers and the vacant role for the project buyer. This team supports the Product Market Group Oil& gas and the PMG Renewables.
The PMG focuses on tailormade products such as modules for FPSO’s, pipe laying systems, winches, tensioners etc. Value of these products is usually up to € 5 mio. Each product is a project in itself. Total sales value of the 2 PMG’s is between € 50 and € 100 mio. per year.
In the sales phase for these modules, quotations are drafted by a team consisting of sales, design and estimation. Once there is a firm chance that a quotation will be awarded by a customer, procurement gets involved as well as production and project control. The project plan, that includes the project- and the procurement strategy, is drafted by the project manager, with input from all other team members. This is where you have come in. You are the main focal point within the company for all project related sourcing, selection and contracting of suppliers and contractors, especially for winches, tensioners, hydraulics and that type of equipment as well as related services. Procurement value per project can be up to to 70% of the value of the endproduct.
You also make sure that PO execution is in line with specifications, planning and budget. For specific know-how, e.g. supply market information, you can make use of your colleagues within the category teams. During project execution (production) you are responsible for correct delivery of services or goods by the suppliers and for managing the relationship with the suppliers and contractors. Where and when needed you will ofcourse also do some operational work yourself,
Your targets are determined by the project managers and your teamlead. These are based on QLTCS (Quality, Logistics, technology, Cost and Safety) KPI’s.
Gross salary up to appr. € 70.000 per year, depending on experience and background, 40 vacation days, mobility budget, pension scheme.
Your office will be in the Dordrecht region. Post-covid it is foreseen that you can work 2 days/week from home (in close consultation with your manager).
