The company applies SAP as ERP system and is busy implementing a new WMS application on the site.
The spend in the plant is some € 30 mio. Appr. 80-90% thereof is procured by the site procurement organization, the remainder by Group procurement (e.g. electronics).

You are expected to lead the change needed to achieve your targets year upon year and to create a supplier base that supports company’s goals (on quality, logistics, timeliness, cost and sustainability). Tangible results are needed, in terms of savings, stock- and lead time reduction, rejection rate reduction, supplier performance. E.g. by taking initiatives on make/buy, re-engineering of parts, supply chain redesign, supplier reduction and/or supplier development. Especially supplier development and creating a strong supplier base to improve and shorten the supply chain, will be main focus areas.
You will become deeply involved in R&D projects to assure that once the production phase is reached, all suppliers are well selected and contracted.
