The company develops and manufactures electrical equipment such as energy storage systems (large batteries), transformer stations, smart grid solutions and operates at the heart of the energy transition. It has more than 1,000 employees and is growing at about 40% a year. Sales are now €450 mio. The goal is to triple it by 2027. There is a strong focus on NPD with 150 engineers plus 60 vacancies in that area.
The corporate culture can be characterized as “we do it together,” short lines of communication, pragmatic but very strategic.

Supply chain
The “director supply chain” indirectly manages 6 departments: operational procurement, inventory management, planning, S&OP, master data, logistics and directly a number of project managers. A total of over 100 people. Reports to him include the supply chain manager who in turn manages the inventory control manager, the operational procurement manager and a number of logistics engineers, totaling more than 20 people. The “manager of operational procurement” leads a team of 11 operational buyers.
Operational procurement is done through the ERP application ISAH.
Furthermore, within Supply chain, Slimstock IV is being used and a new WMS is being implemented.
TASKS
You will lead your team of 11 operational buyers and work closely with your colleagues within the supply chain team. Your team’s focus is on direct spend. Indirect purchasing is done by the departments themselves.
Because your team was recently created by merging 2 departments, there is still some room for improvement in the processes and how ISAH is deployed. You will be working on that a lot in the beginning. You will ensure the smooth running of operational procurement: turn requests into POs; receive order confirmations; resolve delivery, quality and invoice issues; ensure 3-way matching and ensure timely receipt of ordered goods and services. But also in the case of small requests where there is no supplier contract, requesting and negotiating quotes. For this, you have frequent consultations with planning, logistics and production, among others. All with the goal of keeping production running smoothly without increasing inventories.
You have intensive contact with suppliers regarding outstanding orders.
YOUR PROFILE
HBO work/thinking level, preferably in a commercial, technical or Supply Chain direction
Relevant planning experience in a technical production environment
Leadership experience
Experience with ERP systems, Excel and MS Access
Good command of Dutch and English
OFFER
Starting salary max. €6K gross/month. No bonus applies.
Vacation days: de facto you have 30 vacation days. Since you should have 40 according to company regulations, 10 were sold by you. This income is added to your salary.
Work from home policy: company-wide policy is 3 days/week in the office. In this position, you will be expected to attend at the office full-time during your initial period.
Pension plan: based on PME, 2/3 of the premium is paid by the employer.
