Nevi purchasing managers' index December 2022

This is a summary of the December 2022 nevi purchasing managers’ index. The Nevi PMI® fell to 46.0 in November, its lowest level since June 2020. Employment rose for the twenty-fifth consecutive month, but with the smallest increase since November 2020. Production volumes fell for the fourth consecutive month, the number of new orders . Purchases of materials declined and purchase price inflation fell to its lowest level in twenty-three months. High energy prices are creating a dichotomy in the industry, with energy-intensive industries being affected the most. Expectations for the future were again gloomy, but also the most positive in three months.
