Global family-owned company active in the maritime sector. Owns about 10 ships, has about 2,500 employees and offices in 7 countries.
Function
You will report to the team lead VGS (Vessels, Goods and Services) and will work in a team of 8 buyers. As a junior buyer, you will be responsible for coordinating and assisting the tactical buyers with procurement contracts. Your main tasks include expediting contractual processes, monitoring contractual deadlines and providing administrative support to the procurement team. You will ensure timely and accurate completion of procurement contracts, where your communication skills and organizational skills are essential. You will work closely with various stakeholders, such as vendors, legal departments and project managers, to ensure the smooth running of contractual activities. In addition, you will be responsible for documenting and archiving contractual information and updating relevant systems related to contract management. As a junior procurement officer, you will contribute to the efficient management of procurement contracts within the company, playing a crucial role in promoting compliance with contractual obligations and optimizing operational processes. This role also serves as a stepping stone to a tactical buyer position, where you will receive intensive coaching and be able to make rapid strides in your career.
Job Requirements
- HBO+ working and thinking level
- NEVI I is a plus
- Available full time
- 1-3 years procurement experience in a technical environment
- Command of the English language is a must, command of Dutch a plus
- Affinity with the maritime industry
