Procurement within this organization is on the eve of a professionalization drive. After years of organizational change, there is a need for structure, ownership and a clear strategy. You will be given the space to create a future-proof procurement plan in which procurement is involved in new projects and product development from the beginning.
As a Strategic Buyer you steer for impact, not noise. You develop a clear procurement vision, bring peace in the chain and build a reliable supplier network. You connect departments and ensure that procurement becomes a natural partner within the organization.
What you will do:
- Draft and implement a medium-term strategic procurement plan.
- Ensure that procurement comes to the table earlier in new projects, especially in the development of new products (NPI).
- Build and structure a core supplier base that matches the technological ambitions of the organization.
- Bringing calmness and consistency to processes and decision making around procurement.
- Working closely with R&D, engineering and operations to ensure procurement is well embedded in the product lifecycle.
- You will work in a small team and report directly to the COO. This is a position for a builder with vision and execution power.
Your profile
- Completed college or university education in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or similar.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement within a high-tech manufacturing environment (semicon, medical, aerospace, automotive or similar).
- Demonstrated experience with strategic sourcing, supplier development and procurement transformation.
- Commercial, analytical and results-oriented, with a pragmatic attitude.
- Strong in stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
- Good communication skills in English; Dutch and/or German is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly (international).

- Salary up to €7000,- depending on knowledge and experience
