Procurement
The procurement team is led by the director of procurement, who leads 4 teams:
- Vessel goods & Services operations, a team lead with 6 operational buyers
- Vessel goods & Services contracting, a team lead with 7 tactical buyers
- Subcontracting & Projects operations, a team lead with 3 operational buyers
- Subcontracting Projects, a team lead with 8 contract engineers, with one vacancy
Function
As a contract engineer you are on the one hand responsible for setting up, maintaining and managing a portfolio of framework agreements with subcontractors and suppliers for current and future projects. On the other hand, you are a member of one or more tender teams for projects in the sales phase, prepare the procurement strategy for this project(s) and perform the project-based tender and contracting process for both procurement of goods and subcontractors. Engineers in the tender team provide you with the specifications for procurement. With these specifications you develop a contracting strategy taking into account supply risks, market situations and internal policies. You search and select suppliers, perform pre-qualifications and evaluations and coordinate the preparation and submission of tender packages, including draft (framework) agreements and contracts. In addition, you prepare evaluation forms, ensure internal approval and negotiate terms and prices with suppliers in cooperation with the legal department, after which you award the framework agreement or contract.
In the execution phase of projects, you are involved as an escalation channel in case of additional work discussions, delivery or quality problems, etc.
You will also travel internationally in this position.

Offer
- This is a full-time position
- Salary up to €85,000 gross per year depending on knowledge and experience
