Function
As a result of internationalization and the growth of the organization’s activities, this vacancy has arisen.
It is therefore a new position.
Emergency power systems need to function at the moment the normal electricity supply fails.
Therefore, a very regular check on functioning (preventive maintenance) is required, in addition to any corrective maintenance.
Abroad, this is done by service partners.
To date, the “service coordinators” and service sales people have selected the service partners abroad and made arrangements with them.
This task will shift to your position.
In order to guarantee that service partners do a good job, a technician from their own organization is currently present at every customer visit (abroad).
This is an undesirable situation that must become a thing of the past through proper (contractual) agreements and good supplier management.
Some operational agreements have been made with the current service partners, but it is important that these agreements be expanded, contractualized and then monitored/measured whether agreements are met. Finally, agreements and performance with service partners will need to be reviewed and discussed on a regular basis. Agreements concern e.g. the possible use of third parties (subcontractors) by the service partners, the delivery of a report per customer visit and about the way of invoicing.
It is also currently the case that service partners themselves purchase the parts required for maintenance.
Almost no agreements have been made on this yet.
It is important that certified and documented parts are used and that they also comply with local regulations.
In order to have sufficient “leverage” toward the service partners, the desire is to bring some form of competition into the cooperation by selecting and contracting additional parties.
In regions without service partners where new systems are sold and installed, service partners will have to be sought, selected and contracted.
You will redesign and organize the supply chain for parts (parts) with the goal of guaranteed quality, fast response time and higher margin.
In principle, all changes in the process of maintenance (abroad m.o.) are currently negotiable.
Your main stakeholder is the service organization.
Obviously, senior management is also an important stakeholder of yours.
You are part of the scrum, planning and sales meetings.
International travel is part of your job for approximately 20% of your time.
