Function
We are looking for a Strategic Purchaser who is willing to grow within this dynamic company. The ambition is to fully integrate the procurement function within the organization. In this role, you will report directly to the general manager, who strives for a partnership approach between procurement and suppliers, both internally and externally.
Together with the purchasing and logistics coordinator, you will form the purchasing team. The general manager will share with you her vision and expectations for procurement, but will also give you the space to make your own interpretation for the success of the department. In the coming years, the focus will be on building strong supplier relationships, implementing a vendor management system, and increasing internal procurement levels.
As a Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible for a purchasing spend of approximately €55 million. You have a crucial role in taking the procurement function to the next level by:
- Monitor, monitor and report on vendor performance, contract objectives and KPIs.
- Negotiate and establish cooperative and framework agreements with chain partners.
- Encouraging innovations that lead to continuous improvements in quality and cost.
- Making strategic vendor choices for new projects and ensuring compliance with agreements.
- Implementing changes with chain partners to minimize additional costs.
More importantly, you are a connector with a positive and energetic attitude. You have the ability to take people both internally and externally to a higher level of procurement, focusing not only on price, but also on partnerships, relationships and collaboration.
Profile
- HBO level of thinking supplemented by NEVI 1 and/or 2
- 5 to 10 years of work experience
- Knowledge of the construction industry
- Good command of Dutch language
