Purchasing
The purchasing team is led by the purchasing manager, who heads four teams:
- Fleet Procurement Contracting, Unit Head Procurement Contracts with eight tactical buyers and this vacancy, and four junior buyers and this vacancy.
- Fleet Procurement, Unit Head of Fleet Procurement with 9 buyers.
- Project Contracting, Unit Head Project Contracting with 8 Contract Engineers
- Projects Procurement, team lead Project Procurement with 5 project buyers
Over the past six years, Procurement has made significant progress within the organization. The largest MRO goods have been contracted, significantly reducing the number of suppliers.
The rest of the organization recognizes the added value of procurement and is cooperating well with the improvements. There is still much to be gained, as 40% of consumables and spare parts are purchased through existing contracts (the rest is ordered by the operational department from non-contracted parties). So there is still much room for improvement.
