Principal
Company is provider of services focused on installation, maintenance and modification of plants and industrial facilities. The company has approximately 1,500 employees in NL and Belgium and sales of €1.5 bln. Currently, it is still part of an American parent, however, the sale to a new, European parent is imminent. This is looked forward to with great enthusiasm.
The headquarters is in the middle of the country.
Procurement
The CPO is responsible for an influential spend of €650 mio. He leads approximately 40 employees in the following teams:
- A central team
- 3x Category managers PR: for materials, for flex and for subcontracting
- 2x category managers NPR: for IT and for Other indirects (the latter is therefore vacant)
- A junior associate flex
- A data analyst
- A procurement excellence manager
- A supply chain manager
- 4 ‘business procurement’ teams at the branch locations in NL and for the major projects, a total of 16 senior buyers and operational buyers
- In Belgium 5 m/f on procurement
- Buyers in factories and with customers.
Tasks
You report directly to the CPO and are responsible for a spend of approx. 100 mio, of which approx. 2/3 is influenceable. Your spend is very diverse: lease cars, professional services, travel, vending machines, HR/training, insurance, telecom, PPE, etc. Needless to say, you will also have contact with all these departments. You will focus on the company’s locations in NL and Belgium, with an emphasis on headquarters.
You will be expected to plan and thus create a procurement plan for your category that you “sell” internally and gain much-needed support for.
Once the unbundling of the current parent company occurs in the short term, contracts will have to be renegotiated.
Key KPIs are:
- The quality of your contracts and SLAs
- Your input into the discussion on shaping the new mobility policy
- Collaborating with your stakeholders
In the absence of the IT category manager, you will assume his duties (and v.v.).
International travel (outside of NL and Belgium) is not part of this position.
Your profile
- HBO degree
- Extensive purchasing experience in NPR area, at least with lease cars, PPE, training
- Work experience in a technical environment is a plus
- You have a good command of Dutch and English; German is a plus
- You can handle IT well, such as Excel and an ERP system.
Offer
Salary up to €80,000 depending on experience and knowledge; bonus of 8-10% depending on own and company performance, 27+13 leave days, pension scheme.
Home work policy: 2 days/week on business, Wednesdays and preferably Thursdays as well.
