The department consists of the procurement manager, two team leads, 4 tactical buyers + one vacancy and 12 operational buyers. You will we reporting to the team lead procurement contracts. This team is primarily responsible for fleet, operations and projects.
You will be responsible for rental equipment. At this moment there is no control, no process and no contracts in place. Your task will be to investigate, find and scrape data and analyse what equipment is rented, for how long, for what price. You will have to create a process for rent or buy decisions, a process for rental control et cetera. There are numerous suppliers world wide and you will have to find a way to source, qualify and contract them.
The fun part of this job is that you will be talking to all stakeholders on all projects and vessels. You will get a full insight into the global projects of the company. You will need to create a support base with these stakeholders for your strategy. This means you will need to be a strong communicator to convince them to follow your plans and get all the information needed. This project has full support from upper management and a basic plan has been made but needs to be made executable to be successful.
